Our Values
It is our mission to be a safe, inclusive, comprehensive practice where everyone who steps through our doors feels seen, heard, and valued.
Everyone Deserves To Be Seen, Heard, and Valued
Every human being wants to be seen, heard, and valued for who
they are. Regardless of background, identity, or circumstance,
every individual’s story and experiences deserve to be met with
dignity and compassion. To us, honoring the inherent worth of
our patients is more than just a principle. It’s the foundation of
everything we do.
We Are Intentional About Integrity
We treat all of our patients—from children to teens to young
adults—with the consideration and respect they deserve.
We promise to communicate honestly, keep ourselves
accountable, and prioritize your privacy, safety, and wellbeing
above all else.
Mind The Gap
There is a huge gap in care for adolescents and young
adults—particularly those with ADHD and other
neurodevelopmental, mental and behavioral challenges. We
take our job of bridging that gap very seriously and strive to
provide a safe space to land for patients who have slipped
through the cracks.
Excellence Is A Given
We strive to embody excellence—not only in our medical
proficiency, but also in the way we show up for patients.
We take the necessary time to see you, hear you, and
validate you as the fabulous human being you are.
There's No Care Without Compassion
Every decision we make is rooted in empathy and
compassion. Many of us have been in your shoes and
experienced struggles similar to yours, and we are honored
every day to walk alongside you as you navigate your journey.
Community Is Our Lifeblood
Our Place was created to be a safe space for all of us—a place
where patients, providers, and family members alike can
feel at home and at ease. By sharing our expertise with our
greater community in the region, we hope to increase access
to quality care for all adolescents and young adults and the
challenges they encounter.
We Innovate To Advance
With a collaborative model that combines multiple
care disciplines under one roof, our practice was built on
innovation. We are constantly educating ourselves on
the most up-to-date solutions for our patients, ensuring
we stay on the cutting-edge of person-centered care for
young people.
Stop, Collaborate, And Listen...
Is one of our favorite phrases. We understand that nothing
happens in a vacuum—that mind, body, and environment should
all be considered in any given diagnosis or condition. That’s why
we lean on, learn from, and collaborate with one another and
our colleagues in the community to give our patients the most
comprehensive care possible.
It's Kind Of Fun To Do The Impossible...
Is our favorite quote from Walt Disney. We are actively
breaking the mold of what’s possible in healthcare by
bringing together multiple types of providers, all in one
place. We’ve put our heart and soul into developing a
collaborative model to find the most comprehensive
solutions for patients—and we’re pretty dang proud of what
we’ve achieved.
We Take A Strengths-Based Approach To Care
We are often taught that medicine is a problem-based
practice—but we approach it as a strengths-based practice.
We see you as a living, breathing, capable human being with
a uniquely beautiful set of strengths.
We Are A Shame-Free Zone
If you are afraid to talk about your experience because you
feel there is a stigma attached to it, we want to reassure you
that this is a shame-free zone. In our office, there are no
stigmas—just valid human experiences.
No Boxes, Whatsoever
We don’t just think outside the box—we don’t believe in
boxes, period. In other words, we will not pigeonhole you
into a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. We will treat you as a
multifaceted person with unique and ever-evolving needs.
We Work Towards Accessibility For All Within Our Community
We strive to make our care as accessible as possible for all
of our patients. We are always working to ensure that as
many people who need this type of affirming care can get
it, both within our practice and in the community at large.
By spreading awareness and education to our community,
fellow providers, and the next generation of doctors, we are
working to build a more equitable system that broadens the
care available to all patients.
