Joyce Rafati

Dr. Joyce Rafati joined Our Place in the fall of 2023, bringing the first Intensive Health Behavior and LIfestyle Treatment program to the Fort Worth area. Her interest in medicine was sparked at a young age when she would accompany her physician grandfather on hospital rounds in her hometown of Laredo. She completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard University and returned to Texas for medical training at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s. She has practiced pediatrics for over a decade and is board-certified in both general pediatrics and obesity medicine. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a member of the Texas Pediatric Society where she serves on the Nutrition and Health Committee.

Outside of work you may find her spending time with her family and friends, walking the Trinity trails with her cocker spaniel, Louie, or learning something new (most recently pottery!).
